World Day of Prayer for Vocations

(Good Shepherd Sunday)

Vocations Week

This week, around Australia, we begin ‘Vocation Awareness Week”. God has called each of us to our own special vocation in life. Whether it be as a priest or religious, married or single, each of us has a special purpose and obligation to live our own vocation the very best that we can. Our prayers, today, is that we will recognise our special vocation in life, and with God’s grace, live it to the full.

MASS TIMES: Please note that, during the school holidays, the usual Tuesday morning Mass held at John Paul College will not be held. This week that Mass will be celebrated at St Augustine’s Church, Coffs

Harbour at 9.00am

KINDERGARTEN ENROLMENTS

If your child is eligible to start school next year, Mary Help of Christians School invites you to collect an Application Kit from the School Office for the 2009 Kindergarten Class. For further information contact the School Office on 6653 3122

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMMEFirst Communion: Once again, thank you to all who assisted last weekend during the First Communion Masses and afterwards at the Communion Brunch. Many visitors have remarked on how special it all was.

Confirmation: Enrolment Forms are now available for children who have been baptised and are in Yr 2 and over. Please contact the Parish Office for more information.

HELP NEEDED: We have a lady, living in Middle Boambee (off Bayliss Avenue) who needs a lift to Mass here at MHOC some weekends. She is happy to attend whichever Mass you would be going to and would be very grateful of some help in transport. Please give the Parish Office a call if you can help. Thank You

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: We wish all the students and teachers a very happy and restful holiday.

SYMPATHY: Last Sunday we heard of the death of Sr Anne’s brother, Joe Henson. . We

offer our prayers and sympathy to Sr Anne and her family and invite parishioners to share with her a Mass for the respose of his soul this Thursday, 17th April in our church at 5.30pm
